Cephus Catheter

The Cephus Catheter^TM is a colorectal catheter intended to instill air or fluid into the colon. This catheter incorporates inflatable balloons: one spherical and a secondary tapered balloon. The augmentation of the two balloons creates an airtight rectal seal.

Applications for the catheter includes barium enema, intussusception reduction, CT evaluation of Low Anterior Resection (LAR) or fistula, and virtual colonoscopy (CT Colonography).

The Cephus Catheter has capability to improve the efficiency, efficacy, and productivity of various procedures in the medical arena. The Cephus Catheter is the first double ballon catheter marketed to be used with the treatment of intussusceptionreduction, barium enema, and virtual colonoascopy procedures followed by pediatric surgeon, gastroenterologist, internist, and family practitioner as well as hospitals.
